A 50% drop in anti-social behaviour on Hallowe'en!
Initial results from Leicestershire Constabulary show that there were 50 reported ASB incidents on Hallowe'en, compared with 90 last year. Over 1000 children experienced the programme, entitled ‘Trick or Treat’, which was delivered in the weeks leading up to Hallowe'en and Bonfire Night to Year 10 students at 3 schools across Leicestershire. In past years the Police have experienced a high number of reported incidents at these times and in some areas that the programme covered, the incidents have dropped by 50%. Lindsay Richards, Education Account Manager for CragRats, said “These results are great! With a 50% drop in reported incidents following the programme, we are very proud to drive such changes in young people’s attitudes and particularly behaviours. By encouraging young people to take personal responsibility for their own actions they understand that it doesn’t have to infringe on having fun.” To find out more about this, or similar programmes, please contact Lindsay Richards on 01484 686451.
