This summer we reported that Lindsay Richards, Account Manager at CragRats, was to judge a category at The Health For Kids Awards in association with the Department of Health and the Department for Education and Skills’ National Healthy Schools Programme and Sport England together with ASDA, the principal sponsor. On Friday 5th October, Lindsay along with Sales Manager Chris Simes, attended the colourful award ceremony at The Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London. Together with Sally Gunnell, Lindsay presented the Health For Kids award for the Personal and Social Health category for ages 2-11yrs, to Iain Bell of Glenbervie School in Drumlithie, Aberdeenshire. As part of the prize, they have won a CragRats Education Programme for their school. Lindsay commented 'It was a real pleasure to be involved in these awards which have been a really great way of recognising some of the exciting initiatives and projects developed by schools and other organisations across the country. We are really looking forward to our visit to Glenbervie School and we are sure they will have a fun and enlightening day with us.' The topic of Health is very close to CragRats' heart as we have been working to help educate children in issues such as teenage pregnancy, alcohol, substance misuse and healthy eating for many years.
