Around 2000 students across 10 schools benefited from the programme which is financed by Aimhigher Manchester.

Students were challenged to come up with a new product and business plan that they had to ‘present’ to judges.

Before getting down to the challenge, pupils experienced a series of theatrical performances and interactive workshops that were designed to get them fired up for the challenge.

The theatre element of the tour revolves around a play called “Getting Started” and follows three street-smart lads who have to complete a school project to raise money for charity
.  The journey they go on sees them transform into mini Alan Sugars.

The play is followed by interactive workshops during which students will look at; finance, branding, team work, leadership, advertising and marketing.

CragRats Dan Hobson says: “We are experts at going into schools and delivering important messages in a fun and memorable way.  This tour has the power to enthuse young people about becoming entrepreneurial and looks at the skills they might need to survive in the world of business.

Winners have been selected from each school to go forward to the final which will be held on the 3rd of July at The Castlefield Rooms at Jukes 92 in Manchester.
